I’ve never been much for making New Year’s resolutions, but I am a champion list-maker and goal-setter. And, I like to think that I welcome, perhaps even seek, new pathways, new opportunities, finding something I hadn’t known.

The universe certainly put all that front and center for me last month. Just before the holidays, of course, my one-year-old laptop died. As I was getting ready to travel, I was reminded that “you can do a lot on your phone.”

And, here I am, a month later, in 2024, trying my darndest to grab the new possibilities inherent in a new laptop…setting it up with new platforms I likely could have adopted earlier, and wrangling the new that I didn’t know I could have known.

There is something about a new year, the matriarch of new beginnings, that nudges us to be our best selves. I am game….are you?
